About this course

Desmos for Years 9–10 Mathematics offers 6 hours of practical, curriculum-aligned professional development for teachers in Australia.

I am a teacher myself. I want this course to be useful and worth your time. So, I have sorted through the Achievement Standards, Content Descriptions and Elaborations of the Australian Curriculum (v9) for you and identified realistic opportunities for you to employ the Desmos Studio tools for teaching and learning.

As you make your way though, you will watch reasonably short videos of me creating and building with Desmos in real-time. I don't skip steps and I explain as I go. This "start from nothing" approach will develop your understanding of and your proficiency with the tools. In other words, I'm not just giving you a whole bunch of pre-made Desmos graphs and activities that you don't understand.
